Christopher
Bottorff

is a gifted artist who wants to
share his talents with everyone.

He has been an artist for twenty-
five years. Every aspect of his
life is dominated by art. From
his education to his love of
hockey, he looks at everything through the artists looking glass.Whatever you want painted,
he will do it and do it well.

Experience...
Christopher has spent his life
honing his skills as an artist.
He developed in college as
a painter, illustrator and
goaltender. Chris had his
helmet painted, while in
college, by an accomplished
artist.
After graduating he
fell into painting goalie
helmets. Chris went back to
talk to the artist and found
himself painting helmets
the next day. He fell in love
with the whole process and continues it today."I want
to make each new helmet
better than the last,"
he states. Chris will paint
anything you can come up
with, Motorcycles,
Baseball Helmets, Goalie
Helmets, Motorcycle Helmets, Computer Bodies... pretty
much anything that you want
to showcase.

Method...
The process begins with an
idea. It can be totally your
idea, or a combination of
yours and Christopher’s
that reaches the helmet.
This collaboration of
design is sketched onto
paper or computer to make
sure it works visually on
the helmet.

Once the design is conceived
and finished, the surface of the helmet is prepared to accept
the artwork. This preparation
starts with the repairing of all surface imperfections like
scratches, cracks, chips,
dents, etc.

Then the entire surface of the
helmet receives a high-quality primer. Once the helmet has
been primed and checked over
for any lingering imperfections,
the artwork begins.

Next is painting. This is the
best stage. The design is meticulously transferred onto
the helmet from the sketchpad.
After the painting and design
are complete the clear coat is
then applied. It is a top quality
clear coat that protects the
helmet and artwork from
damage and has a beautiful
glass-like finish.
